PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To better remove the scale in the roller leveler. SOLUTION: In this device, the scale peeled from the surface of a material 3 to be straightened in a roller leveler straightening process, is removed by generating the flow of fluid in the roll barrel length direction by nozzle devices 5 provided between preceding and succeeding straightening rolls 1 and 1. In this case, the straightening rolls 1 are supported by backup rolls 4, and the nozzle devices 5 have first nozzles 8 directing the surface side of the material 3 and second nozzles 9 directing the backup rolls 4 side.
