PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To almost completely capture microorganism in a fluid and efficiently decompose and disinfect the captured microorganism by coating the surface of a hollow fiber membrane having a large number of fine holes in the surface and the inner faces of the fine holes with a material composing an electrode. SOLUTION: The surface of a hollow fiber membrane 1 having a large number of micropores 2 in the surface and the inner faces of the fine holes 2 are coated with a material 3 composing an electrode to form an electrode having a vast surface area. In this case, resin fibers such as polypropylene, polyethylene, and the likes are used for the material for the hollow fiber membrane 1. Moreover, gold, silver, stainless steel, carbon, and the likes are used as the material 3 comprising an electrode to be used for coating the surface of the hollow fiber membrane 1 and respective materials are selected based on the use conditions. Further, a plating method, an evaporation method, and the likes are employed for coating the hollow fiber membrane 1 with the material 3 composing an electrode. Furthermore, it is the most preferable that the surface of the hollow fiber membrane 1 and the inner faces of the micropores 2 are completely coated with the material 3 composing an electrode and based on the situation, either one of the surface and the inner faces may be coated.
