Placing the heating element (501) against the opposite side of the first part to the surface forming the join and then supplying a given current creates a specially adapted heat output per surface area unit (P504-P508) in each element section (504-508) on the join side of the element. The result is an even pre-selected temperature greater than that of the welding material, obtained simultaneously along the entire join. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Independent claims are also included for (a) the welding device, (b) a welding method using the element, and (c) a method for separating two welded parts using the element. ELECTRONICS - The heating element comprises at least one electric circuit (502, 503) in the form of an etched thin film of electrically conducting material with a high electrical resistance, two of the element sections (506, 508) giving different heat outputs being distinguished by at least one factor chosen from film cross-section, conductor length and number of electrical circuits in each section. |
