Ionic compound contains (a) (1) cationic and (a) (2) anionic compounds having most 100 non-hydrogen atoms and anion comprising at least one substituent containing a share with active hydrogen and eventually (d) carrier, where the support catalyst component is in the solid form dispersed in diluent, in which (a) and (d) are insoluble or little soluble. Catalyst component is combined with (b) compound of transition metal and where catalyst component is basically inactive catalytic intermediate, or where catalytic component also comprises (c) organometallic or semi-metallic compound, whilst metal or semi-metal is selected from groups 1 - 14 of periodic table of elements and catalytic component is reaction product (a) and (c).
