PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mixing between layers when plural functional layers are formed by coating with org. solvent-base coating solns. by a simultaneous multilayer coating system and to produce a heat developable photosensitive material by the simultaneous multilayer coating system. SOLUTION: The viscosity of a coating soln. for the uppermost layer at the time of coating is adjusted to >=0.1 Pa.s, the viscosity of a coating soln. for other layer at the time of coating is adjusted to >=0.03 Pa.s and the top of a substrate is coated with plural org. solvent-base coating solns. by a wet- on-wet system. Each coating soln. is ejected from a slit in an extrusion type die coater and laminated. A coating soln. for a photosensitive layer is ejected from one of two slits in an extrusion type die coater located on the upper stream side in the forward direction of a substrate and a coating soln. for a protective coat is ejected from the other located on the downstream side to produce the objective heat developable photosensitive material by coating.
