PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for drying coating material applied on the surface of air-bubbled lightweight concrete. SOLUTION: The method of this invention is to apply an aqueous emulsion coating material on the surface of air-buffled light weight concrete(ALC) base material 1 and to apply high-frequency electric field for dielectrically heating water and making water hot, followed by drying the coating material. Coated film 2 becomes hot in its inner part (i.e., in the surface side of the ALC base material 1 rather than in the surface side 2a of the coated film 2) and is dried without skinning the surface of the coated film 2 so as to shorten the drying time. When the thickness of the coated film 2 is 300-2,000μm, it is possible to hide the innumerable unevenness formed on the surface of ALC base material 1 and to prevent an increase in cost. It is possible to more efficiently dry the coated film by heating it with other heat source after high-frequency dielectric heating.
