<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an entire paper feeder cassette adapted to store arbitrary sizes of paper sheets therein without being influenced by a movable restriction plate regulating the edges of paper sheets when the cassette stores paper sheets of the maximum size. SOLUTION: A movable back end restriction plate 42 is provided turnably about a rotation axis 44 on a bottom plate 40a of a casing 40 storing paper sheets to constitute a paper feeder cassette 23. This movable back end restriction plate 42 is stored in a recess 40b formed on the bottom plate 40a, and is erected vertically on the face of the bottom plate 40a to regulate the back end of paper sheets for storing paper sheets of a small size. The restriction plate is turned to store in the recess 40b when it is not necessary. In this state, one of side walls of the casing is adapted as a back end restriction plate 41 to eliminate a redundant space, and to reduce the size of the entire paper feeder cassette 23.</p> |
