PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a heat insulating property in a building by arranging a heat insulating material in the side walls and the ceiling of an external storage, when the external storage having a door at the external wall of the building is formed at the lower part of a landing in the building. SOLUTION: A rectangular parallelepiped external storage 10 is formed at the lower part of a landing 2a of a staircase 2 in a building B and a housing door 30 is provided at the external wall B1 to make it possible to put in and out articles from the outside of the building B. A heat insulating layer 40 is arranged at the partition parts 10a of the backface and the sideface of the external storage 10 and the ceiling 10b. An outer heat insulating material, a ventilation layer, an inner heat insulating material, and a moistureproof material are laminated to form a multilayer structure, in the heat insulating layer 40, and it is arranged between the outdoor side finishing material and the indoor side interior finishing substrate. Further, the external wall B1 and the housing door 30 are made to be of a fireproof structure. In this way, not only the heat insulating property in the building B but also the fireproof property can be secured. When a ventilation property is imparted to the housing door 30, the partition part 10a and the ceiling 10b may be made to be of a fireproof structure.
