PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the dust collecting unit of an air cleaner without lowering its dust collecting capacity even if a carbon component is adsorbed. SOLUTION: An anode 1 is a corrugated sheet with a recessed line 3 and a projected line 4 alternately formed in the width direction in succession, and openings are formed on the bottom of the recessed line 3 and the top of the projected line 4 except both end parts in their logitudinal directions. Plural electrode plates 2a corresponding to the openings of the anode 1 and capable of being inserted from the openings are formed in parallel on the cathode 2. Further, the respective electrodes plates 2a of the cathode 2 are inserted alternately into the recesses of the recessed lines 3 and the openings of the projected lines 4 of the anode 1 so that the anode 1 is not in contact with the cathode 2 to be used.
