PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute heat insulation stopping control suited to the request of a user while saving power consumption by stopping heat insulation after finishing rice cooking or after the lapse of a prescribed time from the finish of rice cooking. SOLUTION: This rice cooker is provided with a rice cooker main body 1 constituted so that an inner pot 3 can be housed inside, a lid 2 freely openably/closably covering the opening of the main body 1, a work coil for cooking rice 10 heating the inner port 3 and a work coil for insulating 13 and is constituted so that a process from the rice cooking to the heat insulation is executed by controlling energizing to the work coils 10 and 13. In the case, a setting means setting whether to execute heat control insulation or not and a heat insulation stopping means stopping energizing to the work coils 10 and 13 after the finish of the rice cooking in the case of setting not to execute the insulation by the setting means, are additionally provided so that the energizing to the work coils 10 and 13 after finishing the rice cooking is stopped by setting of a user.
