PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute recording for a long time by a method wherein a recording medium to be recorded is selectively heated by a heating means in accordance with an image to be recorded in a condition that the recording medium is pressed against a sublimable dye, and the sublimable dye at the heated portion is transferred to the recording medium, thereby recording the image on the recording medium. SOLUTION: A recording medium 9 to be recorded is selectively heated by means of a thermal head 1 in accordance with an image to be recorded in a condition that the recording medium 9 is pressed against a cylinder-shaped sublimable dye material 30a which is used instead of a conventional ink sheet. The sublimable dye at the heated portion is transferred to the recording medium 9, thereby recording the image on the recording medium 9. |
