PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel incombustible working fluid composition being nonproblematic in the disadvantages inherent in conventional CFC and HCFC fluids depletive to the ozonosphere and having excellent thermodynamic properties by mixing two specified fluorine-containing ethers with each other. SOLUTION: This composition contains 8-50 wt.% (A) CF3-CHFOCF3 and 92-50 wt.% (B) CF3CF2OCH3. Component A has the following main physical properties: boiling point of -9.6 deg.C, a molecular weight of 186, a critical temperature of 103 deg.C, and a critical pressure of 2.621 MPa. This is a stable compound undergoing no change even when it is left at 150 deg.C for 10 days in a glass shield tube. This is incombustible and shows little inhalation toxicity. Compound B has the following main physical properties: a boiling point of 6 deg.C, a molecular weight of 150, a critical temperature of 134 deg.C, and a critical pressure of 2.887 MPa. This is a stable compound undergoing no change even when it is left at 175 deg.C for 30 days in a glass shield tube. It has low inhalation toxicity. The boiling point of the composition is -4 to 5 deg.C, desirably, -3 to 5 deg.C. |
