<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute high speed modulation and to improve recording sensitivity by a method wherein a bias modulation recording is applied to a recording material which is a heat mode sensitive material as well as a binary sensitive material. SOLUTION: This image recorder forms character/image information on a recording medium by scanning a recording face of the recording medium in two dimensions to heat it in an image. Bias modulation wherein a ratio of Eb:Ew with the proviso that Eb represents bias energy and Ew represents a modulation energy width is in a range of 1:1.5 to 1:2.5 is applied to the recording medium which is a heat mode sensitive material as well as a binary sensitive material.</p> |
