PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To beautifully and easily perform a bookbinding wherein documents of a large number of sheets are bound by a method wherein at the top and the right and left parts of an adhesive injection port of a bonding machine for vinyl acetate resin adhesives, a function to flatten an adhesive, having parts which are in parallel with the back and both sides continuing from the back of the documents to be made into a book, is provided. SOLUTION: A bookbinding part which is formed in a manner to be adjusted to the cone shape of a discharging port 6 of an adhesive such as a hot bond, is fitted on a bonding machine with a fitting part 1. To the cone-shaped fitting part 1, a base disk 2 which is provided on the area of the adhesive discharging port 6 is attached, and to the base disk 2, two movable side plates 3 are attached by a twisted shaft 4 having a spring, and the side plates are closely joined to the side faces continuing from the back of documents 7 by the spring force of the twisted shaft 4 having the spring, and the documents 7 are pinched. By this method, the adhesive such as a hot bond, which is discharged from the discharging port 6 is flattened by flattening the surface by an upper plate 5 while restricting the locations in the width direction by the right and left side plates 3, and at the same time, by a pressure which is applied to the upper plate 5, the adhesive is filled into respective gaps of the documents 7.
