PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sowing device enabling an arranged sowing wherein the embryos of seeds are arranged in a constant direction. SOLUTION: This sowing device is provided with a cylindrical seed-carrying member 6 for carrying seeds and with a sowing shutter 8 openably or closably disposed at the exit portion of the cylindrical seed-carrying member 6 and used for loading the seeds thereon when closed. An arranged sowing wherein the seeds are arranged in a constant direction is carried out by the relative synchronization of the exit portion of the carrying member 6 with the sowing shutter 8. Therein, an embryo-detecting device 38 for detecting the embryo direction of the seeds is disposed.
