PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food, esp., frozen food allowing an encapsulated oily flavored volatile component to be sufficiently left in the food even after subjected to heating process. SOLUTION: This food produced by a manufacturing process having a heating step, comprises an encapsulated oily flavored volatile component. The volatile component is in the form of a solution or dispersion liquid containing a flavored component of wasabi, mustard, garlic, ginger or curry. The food is e.g. a rice food or egg roll food. The rice food is specifically a molded rice food to which a sheetlike food (laver) is attached, wherein a moisture-retaining food is affixed to or sprayed on the surface of the sheetlike food. As for the egg roll food, the ingredients contain the flavored volatile component of mustard and a moisture-retaining food (saccharide, e.g. trehalose) is attached to the surface of the sheetlike raw material. |
