PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stirling refrigerator for directly detecting pressure and preventing such inconveniences as hose slippage even if the pressure of a water-cooling part rises due to the occurrence of abnormality in the refrigerator such as a pump failure. SOLUTION: A stirling refrigerator forms a circulation pipeline of a cold refrigerant between cold-using devices being connected via a pipeline 5 where the cold refrigerant cooled at a cooling head 4 flows and feeds cold to the cold-using devices. Since a temperature detector 60 for protection that detects the temperature of the water-cooling part is arranged at a heat exchanger 46 for heat radiation, so that the temperature of the water-cooling part of the stiling refrigerator is monitored and a motor for driving a refrigerating machine is stopped for protection when the refrigerating machine fails and temperature increases. Also, when the refrigerating machine fails and the pressure of the water-cooling part rapidly increases, a water pressure detector 50 that is installed at a cooling water circulation pipeline 54 directly detects the occurrence of failure in the refrigerator including failure in a water pump or the like and a rapid pressure increase in the water-cooling part, stops the operation of the motor for driving the refrigerating machine, and prevents such troubles as coming-off of a hose due to increase in water pressure. |
