PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form discontinuous coating layers without the generation of thickly coated parts by once decelerating or stopping the rotation of a wire bar under continuation of the traveling of a long-sized sheet and eliminating the storage part of a coating liquid in their contact parts, then detaching a bar from the coating layer of the sheet. SOLUTION: The wire bar 10 rotating in the moving direction of the long- sized sheet 20 moving at a specified speed pulls up the coating liquid from a primary side coating liquid tank 14 to a coating liquid storage part 21 by accompanying the rotation thereof, thereby forming the coating layers of a uniform thickness on the long-sized sheet 20. At this time, the rotation of the wire bar 10 is once decelerated or stopped by controlling, for example, a motor while the movement of the long-sized sheet 20 is continued, by which the coating liquid storage part 21 is eliminated. For example, a pair of transporting rollers 11a, 11b are thereafter risen to detach the wire bar 10 from the long-sized sheet 20, by which the discontinuous coating layers are uniformly formed on the long-sized sheet 20 without the generation of the thickly coated parts.
