PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device and an information storage medium capable of providing a game space reflecting map variations caused by the previous plays. SOLUTION: A game device allows a player to play a game by controlling a moving element within a game space constructed of given maps. The game device includes a game space setting part 145 for setting the game space according to map information renewed during the previous plays, a map content varying part 146 for changing the contents of the maps, and a map information renewal part 147 for automatically renewing the map information based on the contents varied. The contents of the maps may be varied purposefully by the player or the contents of the maps constituting the game space may be varied depending on the condition of the game. The game device also includes a resetting part for resetting the map information under given conditions.
