PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure for selectively stopping the rotation of a longitudinally carrying belt and to lower the cost of the seedling-planting device. SOLUTION: A seedling-loading platform 14 in which plural seedling loading divisions 13 are laterally arranged is disposed in a state capable of being laterally reciprocatively driven at a set stroke. Longitudinally carrying belts 20 which are rotated to carry loaded seedlings A to seedling-taking ports 17 are disposed in the seedling loading divisions 13, respectively. In order to form a longitudinal carriage-selecting means for stopping the rotation of the longitudinally carrying belts 20 by slipping the longitudinally carrying belts 20 of a selected seedling-loading division 13 on the driving pulleys 21, plural driven shaft 24 are disposed in states integrally rotatably supporting plural driven pulleys 22 for imparting tensions to the longitudinally carrying belts 20, and brake means 35 for separately stopping the rotations of the driven shafts 24, respectively, are further disposed.
