PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an proper flow channel of a heating medium without generating an air sump in a jacket, to ensure a sufficient heat transfer area and to increase the degree of freedom of planning in the heat exchange jacket attached to a storage tank. SOLUTION: The main body of a jacket 14 is formed into a hollow flat plate shape by a pair of plate materials and a recessed notch part 7 is provided so as to be turned to the upper end of the jacket from the central part thereof. A U-shaped communication pipe 15 is provided in the main body of the jacket 14 so as to bypass both sides and undersurface side of the notch part 7 and an inverted U-shaped siphon pipe 16 is connected to the lower end of the communication pipe 15 so that one end thereof communicates with the communication pipe 15. The end of the siphon pipe 16 reaches the vicinity of a cooling medium inlet 9 to open and a cooling medium outlet 10 is provided on the diagonal line of the cooling medium inlet 9. By this constitution, the flow channel of a cooling medium is ensured without generating an air sump and heat transfer effect can be enhanced.
