PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb the position shift of a power roller by a size tolerance and prevent the drop of a transmission torque, while using a conical roller bearing with a high durability to the support of input/output discs. SOLUTION: This transmission is provided with an input disc 1 joined to an input shaft 3, an output disc 2 joined to an output shaft 13, a power roller 4 held between the toroidal grooves formed on the facing surfaces of these input/output discs 1, 2 respectively and an input bearing 20 and output bearing 21 for pivoting the input shaft 3 and output shaft 13 to the casing 26 respectively. In a toroidal type continuously variable transmission in which the conical roller bearings are used as these input/output bearings 20, 21, at least oneside of the input/output bearings 20, 21 has a center adjusting function.
