A conductive grounding plate, in the form of a metal shield, is mounted to the exterior of the connector housing The grounding plate incudes at least one grounding terminal integrally formed therewith at extending outwardly therefrom at the level of the connector conductive terminals in a space between two adjoining conductive terminals.
