<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residue recovery system in a highly viscous fluid transfer piping wherein the highly viscous fluid remaining in the transfer piping can be recovered safely and efficiently, and further it can be recovered without lowering a productivity. SOLUTION: When a highly viscous fluid remaining in a transfer piping 3 is to be recovered with a first hopper 10a and a second hopper 10b by inserting a pig 4 into the transfer piping 3 and pushing out the pig 4 by a pressure of a high pressure gas, a residue recovery controller 15 controls the value- travel of a pressure control valve 6 according to a position of the pig 4 in the transfer piping 3 which is detected by magnetic sensors 8-1 to 8-7, and controls value travels of the first and second flow rate control valves 13a, 13b based on flow rate values measured by the first and second flowmeters 12a, 12b and/or volumes of the highly viscous fluids in the first and the second hoppers 10a, 10b which are measured by the first and second level meters 11a, 11b.</p> |
