<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension control method and a tension controller for suppressing the variation in the tension of a material to be rolled. SOLUTION: The amount of change of the circumferential speed of the rolls of the 6th stand #6 to stabilize the tension and mass flow and amount of change in the circumferential speeds of the rolls of the 1st stand #1-5th stand #5 in accordance with the change of the 6th circumferential speed are calculated. In the case of changing the circumferential speeds of these rolls, the tension is controlled by changing the screw-down location of the 5th stand #5 to absorb the variation in the tension which is generated from the difference of the responsiveness between driving mortars 31-35 and driving motors 36, 37.</p> |
