PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cross or offset work rolls with the force loaded on a roll chock by starting to work cylinders fitted to a housing in a rolling mill, shiftable in the rolling direction and having the free end of a piston connected with one end of a pusher members, respectively. SOLUTION: In Mae West blocks 11-14, pusher guides 21-28 are disposed. In the pusher guides, pusher arms 25-28 are disposed by connecting with each piston of corresponding hydraulic cylinder 29 32 at the one end, respectively. At the time of starting work of the cylinders 29-32, the pusher arms 25-28 loads the pressure to chocks 3 and 4, and the chocks 3, 4 and the upper work roll 1 are shifted in the rolling direction and crossed byα. Therefore, since the work roll in the rolling mill can be crossed and offseted in the rolling direction and can be shifted in the axial direction of the roll, the operating capacity of the work roll is improved.
