PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work fixed-direction alignment device at a low cost by constituting a work engagement jig to retreat, when a means for rotationally moving a work engagement jig by a prescribed angle in a position opposite to one end of a work stopped at a prescribed position and the work engagement jig, which is so set as to be rotationally moved while being pressed against the work, and that a deformed diameter part of the work and the work engagement part are engaged with each other in some position during rotational movement are returned to their original positions. SOLUTION: A spline shaft 11 and an engagement jig 14 are advanced by the advancement of a drive rod 13, and when an engagement hole 15 is not matched with a tapered part of a work 1, the work is pressed against the elastic force of a spring 7. The engagement jig 14 is rotationally moved by a fixed angle in this state by the drive of a gear 12 so that the engagement hole 15 and the tapered part of the work 1 is matched with each other. Then the work is fittedly engaged with the engagement hole 15 by the elastic force of the spring 7. Secondly, the gear 12 is rotated by the prescribed angle to return to its original position with the work 1. Thirdly, the drive rod 13 is retreated and the engagement jig 14 is detached from the work 1 so as to be returned to the original position.
