<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a feeling of a reduction in speed caused by the starting of an engine brake when a clutch is disengaged, and obtain excellent gear shifting performance without changing the capacity of a synchronizing device for a speed change gear. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic powder clutch 4 is provided for the output shaft 1 of a prime-mover, and a friction clutch 12 is set up at the output side of the electromagnetic powder clutch 4 simultaneously, and it is so constituted that only the clutch disc 14 of the friction clutch 12 is connected with the input shaft 15 of a gear type transmission, and let the friction clutch 12 be instantly connected therewith at the time of power connection, the exciting current of the electromagnetic powder clutch 4 is gradually increased so as to be smoothly connected therewith, and a control device is provided, which controls both the clutches 4 and 12 in such a way that they can be simultaneously isolated when power is turned off.</p> |
