METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SETTING INITIAL IRRADIATION POSITION WITH LASER BEAM IN LASER WELDING PIPE MAKING PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for setting an initial irradiation position with laser beam capable of setting simply and rapidly an initial position of working head at the time of change of process arrangement for laser welding pipe making. SOLUTION: On both the side edge parts in the direction of crossing a mill line of a plane mirror 1, a generator 10 of a pair of two visible light laser beams parallel to an optical axis of a laser beam 6 reflected by the plane mirror 1 is installed; a marker point on a surface of a material to be welded formed by the visible light laser beam projected from the generator and a seam center of the material to be welded are photographed with a CCD camera at the same time, and based on the image information by moving a working head 4 in the horizontal and vertical directions, a focus of a welding laser beam or its vicinity is fitted to a prescribed position.
