PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trough for molten metal which reduces the wearing rate of the trough material by suitably selecting the materials of the trough material and an outer surface refractory. SOLUTION: In the trough for molten metal having the trough material 1 arranged at a portion contacting with the molten metal and the outer surface refractory 2 arranged on the outer surface of the trough material, the trough material is a graphite-containing refractory having 3-20 wt.% graphite and the outer surface refractory is combined of one or more kinds of the graphite base refractory, SiC base refractory and Al2O3 base refractory. |
