PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent outflow of hot water of extremely high temperature when failure occurs at an electric calorifier. SOLUTION: A valve element 15 is arranged on a merging portion of a hot water inflow pipe 14 and a water inflow pipe 13, for varying aperture areas of the pipes 14 and 13 and mixing hot water with water. An electric mixing valve 7 is composed of the valve element 15 and a driving means 17 therefor. A heat expansion body 16 is arranged between the valve element 15 and the driving means 17 through rods 18a, 18b so as to move the valve element 16 when the temperature of the hot water is a preset value or higher and close the aperture of the hot water inflow pipe 14.
