摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the separation efficiency of evaporating fuel by making the outflow range area smaller than the inflow range area so that the adsorbent near the outflow port takes in much outside air heat, in a canister which is divided by a partition into an inflow range where evaporating fuel flows into the adsorbent layer and an outflow range where it flows out of the adsorbent. SOLUTION: Between a case 1 and an upper filter 4 a space is formed and divided into two diffusion chambers 11, 12 by a gate valve 8 integrally formed with the case 1. As the proportion of an outflow range S2 where the fuel flows from the an activated carbon layer 6 to a diffusion chamber 22 side relative to an inflow range S1 gets smaller, the amount of the air per unit area that passes through the outflow range S2 increases. The center of the air flow moves to the case 1 side, where it is more cooled. Therefore, more outside air heat is taken in through the case 1, enabling improvement of the separation amount of the evaporating fuel.
