PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasificating power plant that is able to go into stable operation even in the case where a load fluctuation or the like has occurred. SOLUTION: This power plant is equipped with a gasificating furnace 9 being supplied with fuel and an oxidant and generating gas, a gas purifier purifying the generated gas produced in this gasificating furnace 9, and a gas turbine 22, to be supplied with the purified gas produced in the gas purifier. In this case, it is also provided with a purified gas booster 39 boosting the extent of pressure in the purified gas by way of the gas purifier and a control unit controlling the degree of a pressure rise in the purified gas booster 39 according to a load fluctuation in the gas turbine, respectively.
