PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject medicine excellent in therapeutic effect, capable of achieving the treatment at a short time, and useful for treatment or prevention of stomatitis, mucous membrane damage of digestive tract, or cutaneous ulcer caused as a side effect of cancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy by including serylglycine as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This medicine contains serylglycine or a pharmacologicallv acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. The salt is preferably zinc (II) salt to the serylglycine, copper (II) salt of the serylglycine, or the like. The medicine is preferably formed into a preparation for gargle or an injection. The dose of the serylglycine is ordinary 5-50 mg for an adult, and two to six closes are administered per day.
