PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator device with a footstep for a wheelchair capable of easily controlling a command switch operated by a magnet of a detecting footstep. SOLUTION: A conveying belt 2 circulated to move by arranging a footstep 4 for a wheelchair connected in an endless state between many ordinary footsteps 3 is provided in a main frame 1, forward/backward path sides 5, 6 are formed respectively on an upper surface side of the main frame 1 and on the main frame 1. A magnet 8 is provided on the side surface of a detecting footstep 7 formed by a prescribed footstep of the conveying belt 2 to detect a position of the footstep 4 for the wheelchair while moving to circulate. Command switches 151 to 155 operated by the magnet 8 are arranged on a reverse side of a non-magnetic material-made skirt panel formed with a lower part of a parapet 9 of the main frame 1 to be opposed to the side face of the footstep 3. In this way, work from above the conveying belt 2 can be performed by removing the footsteps 3, 4 of a key part in the forward path side 5, when the command switches 151 to 155 are in mounting adjustment and maintenance work.
