PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure automatic double-sided printing by using a simple mechanism in a printing device. SOLUTION: In printing a front page, a front surface of a paper sheet 3 is printed by line from the top to the bottom at a side of an ink ribbon cartridge 14, and the paper sheet 3 is turned in its direction to a front of a printer by a paper delivering plate 16 and is carried on a first carrying line 51 housed in an intermediate tray 21. In printing a back page, an electromagnet 32 lifts the intermediate tray 21 up and the paper sheet 3 moves. The paper delivering plate 16 is held at a position directing to a receiving tray 6. A back surface of the paper 3 delivered from the intermediate tray 21 is printed by line from the bottom to the top at the side of the cartridge 14, and the paper sheet 3 is carried on a second carrying line 52 and is received in the receiving tray 6. In order to correspond the top and bottom relations of each of the front and back surfaces of the paper sheet 3, data to be printed on either of the front or back page may be turned upside down.
