PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive board which reserves moisture and can be subjected to a metal detector by interposing a liquid-absorbing material layer between two paper layers, forming a water resistant coat on an uppermost layer, boring a blind hole through them, and interposing a water shielding layer between the liquid-absorbing material layer and the lower paper layer. SOLUTION: A water resistant coat 13 is placed on an uppermost layer of a board 11, and also desired print 14a is applied on a surface of a paper layer 14 positioned on a surface side. A liquid-absorbing material layer 15 is stuck to a lower face of the paper layer 14, and a lower paper board layer 17 is stuck to its lower face via a water resistant adhesive layer 16 as a water shielding layer. Further, blind holes 12 reaching from a surface of the board 11 to the liquid-absorbing material layer 15 are bored wherein the holes are appropriately distributed on a plane of the board. Thus moisture or the like oozing from food is absorbed by the liquid-absorbing material layer 15 from the surface of the board 11 through the holes 12, while the moisture or the like may be prevented by the water shielding layer 16 from going to a rear face of the board 11, and also a metal detector for packed articles can be applied because metallic foils or the like are not used.
