PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide socks most suitable for an old person, capable of providing a fit feeling such as a wrapping feeling by distinguishing a fastening feeling of foots. SOLUTION: The socks obtained by knitting toe parts 14, instep parts 12, bottom parts 13, heel parts 15, leg parts 11 and wearing opening parts 10 with a knitting yarn and a covering yarn and/or a rubber yarn are constituted so that the part covering the instep and arch parts of feet in the instep parts 12 and the bottom parts 13 may be knitted by the knitting by putting at least one front yarn on sinkers in a pile knitting, and also knitted by using the rubber yarn 43 while dropping at least every other stitch in the course direction, so as to release the fastening of the insteps and arches of the feet while keeping the expanding and contracting elasticity.
