PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely make a green sand mold by inputting kind of green sand molding method, condition of a pattern plate and physical property and squeeze pressure of the green sand, etc., into a computer, calculating the compactness of the green sand with a green sand molding analysis method and making a green sand molding machine operate based on the calculated result. SOLUTION: Items to be set for the green sand molding machine, i.e., an air flowing pressuring type green sand molding method to adopt, the condition of the pattern plate, the physical property of the green sand and the pressure of compressed air, are inputted. The computer determines the number of analysis factors according to the desirable analysis accuracy preset, and further, executes the porosity analysis, air flow analysis, contacting-force analysis, fluid drag analysis and motion equation analysis, in order, and the calculation is repeated until the green sand stops. As a result, information related to the compactness of the green sand is obtd. The green sand strength, green sand mold porosity and internal stress of the green sand moldare calculated from the correlation, etc., between the compactness of the green sand beforehand experimentally obtd. and the green sand mold strength. The calculation is repeated by changing the condition until these factors become desired values, and the molding is executed based on this result.
