PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter device which can reduce the external light reaching a meter display part without using any additional proprietary components. SOLUTION: A meter unit 30 is composed of a light shutoff case 31 having a bottom opening forward, a meter 32 installed in the case 31 such as speedometer, tachometer, etc., and a transparent case 33 having side walls 330 made of a transparent body having a bottom opening backward and extending along the opening side periphery of the light shutoff case 31 and a bottom wall part 332 extending inward from the side wall 330 via a step 331 and covering the opening side front face of the light shutoff case 31. Besides this meter unit 30, the meter device is equipped with a car body housing (cover member) 10 to cover the meter unit 30 excluding the bottom wall part 332 of the transparent case 33, and a reflection part 334 to reflect outward the external light incident via the side walls 330 is formed in a position ahead of each side wall 330 continuing to the step 331 of the transparent case 33.
