PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing capable of compacting a reel main body, facilitating the attaching and detaching operation of a spool from a slider and preventing the shake of the spool (slider). SOLUTION: A sliding guide part for guiding a slider 24 in the longitudinal direction is installed between a reel main body 2 and a cap 50. The sliding guide part is constituted of a first guide part 54 which is projected from the rear part of the reel main body 2 and is integrally attached to the reel main body 2 and a second guide part 56 which is projected from the rear of a cover body 52 and is integrally fitted to the cover body. The slider is slid and guided along the wormshaft of an oscillating mechanism in the radial direction of a spool shaft by the first and the second guide parts 54 and 56 without shake to longitudinally move the spool without shake.
