PURPOSE: A focusing method using multiple exposure image and device thereof is provided to clearly distinguish passengers on still screen in CCTV system requiring rapid focusing speed and rapidly focus in general photographing work. CONSTITUTION: The focusing method using multiple exposure image and device thereof comprises: the first step capturing images in constant shutter exposing speed; the second step extracting luminescent data from the captured images; the third step varying shutter exposing speed according to the level of the extracted luminescent data; and the forth step performing focusing by using the image data obtained by the speed varied shutter.
