<p>The ash is fed directly from the roasting chamber to separators which separate out the ash and feed it to fluidised beds where the magnetite in the ash is oxidised to hematite. The bed is maintained at the optimum temp. by heat exchangers. The treated ash is further cooled by a second fluidised bed which is located in the overflow and is then removed from the apparatus by a two valve chamber. The process is economical and the ash so obtained is suitable for further metal recovery treatments.</p> |
