PURPOSE: Error detecting apparatus is provided to exactly remove defect source in a short time and through a single operation, thereby saving time. CONSTITUTION: The error detecting apparatus includes command error detector for storing corresponding command input by input terminal, error testing and outputting the result, a data error detector for receiving a data from the input terminal, storing the data, error testing and outputting the result, and a state controller for receiving an output signal from the command error detector and an external input control signal and controlling error detecting operation of the command error detector and the data error detector.
