PURPOSE: A gain offset compensating method of a programmable gain amplifier is provided to decrease a step gain amplifier from diminishing when an input signal is changed. CONSTITUTION: The gain offset compensating method of a step gain amplifier comprises: a step gain amplifier having a terminal that feeds a bias voltage to adjust an input and an output transconductance value; a gain amplifier for test use that feeds an input signal for test use and then outputs an output signal for test use; and an error value detector feeding the bias voltage to a bias voltage terminal.
