GAS-SLUDGE SEPARATOR OF SLANTED PLATES IN SYMMETRY FOR HIGH RATE ANAEROBIC REACTION TANK.

PURPOSE: A gas sludge separator is provided to reduce the separator volume size to be suitable for a large capacity anaerobic reaction tank and to improve resettling effect in be activated sludge process of high concentration organic wastewater. CONSTITUTION: The separator has many plates as auxiliary members installed symmetrically in slant of an angle(60 degree) along a central line and also has a square funnel-like separator of a dual structure placed above the auxiliary plate members and consisting of an outer square funnel member(6) narrowing upward and an inner square funnel member(7) having the top opening smaller than the opening of the outer member(6). The dual structure separator is integrally formed of stainless steel. The reaction tank is made to flow the treating wastewater upward. The separator reduces the volume size by 1/3 the conventional size and expands the settling area by 100%.
