PURPOSE: A speed change control method of an automatic transmission for vehicle is provided to improve shift quality by judging accurately the starting and the ending point of speed change of vehicle which is not equipped with a turbine rotational speed sensor. CONSTITUTION: The speed change control of a vehicle is performed by judging it a right time to change the speed from b zone to c zone when the eng-rpm change for the first 4 cycles in the area where there are only torque changes without rpm change, is larger than 0 and the average variation (dNs)is 1.3xd(eng-rpm)/dt.
