PURPOSE: A method for mutually managing between a facsimile module and a host computer by using a key code based on an interface device is provided. CONSTITUTION: The mutual managing method between a facsimile module and a host computer, the method comprising the steps of: receiving an external facsimile key and transmitting it into the facsimile module by the host computer; transmitting display information, a key mask information, and scanning information into the host computer in response to the received key code by the facsimile mode; receiving the display information, a key mask information, and scanning information, outputting a display message, activating a key to receive an external telephone number and starting key, and transmitting the key code into the facsimile module by the host computer; receiving the key code and transmitting display information, key mask information, and scanning information with respect to each key by the facsimile module; and scanning a document according to print information and passing a control right over the host computer when completing transmission of the document, by the facsimile module.
