PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for pressure forming facilities of glass is provided to cool formed glass quickly and improve the flatness of flat surface. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a quick cooling member(33) for cooling glass by contacting on the surface of one side of glass, an elevating device for lifting the quick cooling member, It is preferable that a contacting surface of glass of the quick cooling member is shaped like the pressure surface of the upper mould for pressure forming glass. Also it is preferable that the cooling device contains an air distribution member with many through holes for distributing air from the exterior to an air flow path through a through hole. The quick cooling member(33) comprises an upper plate member(45), a side wall member(47) and a pressure contacting member(49) with a degree of flatness of 1/100 mm.
