PURPOSE: A bidirectional synchronous communication transceiver simultaneously transmits a data information and a clock information by using Manchester coding method in a transmitting part, reproduces a data information and clock information from the received signal in a receiving part, and thus achieves a bidirectional synchronous communication at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A bidirectional synchronous communication transmitter includes; a first shifting part for producing a parity bit according to a parity enable signal and even enable signal, and outputting a serial data shifted according to an external shift clock. Manchester coding part performs Manchester coding according to an external baud clock. A start/stop bit generation and shifting controller generates a start bit according to an external baud clock, transmits a serial data transmitted from the first shifting part, and then generates a stop bit and transmits the stop bit. According to an external input mode selection signal, a selector selects one between an output signal of the Manchester coding part and an output signal of the start/stop bit generation and shifting controller, and outputs the selected one.
